Wheat Daliya
Ingredients
- 1 cup Wheat dalia
- 1 pcs – Onions, chopped
- 1 Inch Ginger, finaly chopped
- 1 or 2 Chillies
- 1 Medium Sized Tomato
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Carrot
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Potato
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Green Peas
- 4 Cup Water
- 1 tbsp Shreeveer Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Ghee Or Oil
- Salt As Per The Taste
Receipe
- Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker on low flame.
- Add the chopped onion and saute till they become translucent.
- Add 1 inch finely chopped ginger, 1 to 2 green chillies, and cumin.
- Add the chopped tomato and saute for 1 minute.
- Now add ½ cup chopped potatoes, ½ cup chopped carrots and ½ cup of green peas. Saute on low to medium-low flame for approximately 2 minutes.
- Rinse the dalia and add to the veggies. Cook on a low flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add water and salt as required. Stir and pressure cook on medium flame for 10-12 whistles or until the dalia is cooked well. Ensure you get a porridge like consistency.
- Garnish vegetable daliya with coriander leaves and serve hot or warm.
